THE FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, 2005,
a 'Competent Person' should carry out a Fire Risk Assessment. Failure
to act could render employers liable for failing to fulfil their individual
legal responsibilities under the Health and Safety Legislation
Many small businessess do not have or cannot afford
to maintain an in-house competent person, but do require quick and easy
access to Fire Safety advice.
The Fire Risk Assessment includes:
- Initial Fire Risk Assessment
- Annual review of the Fire Safety Policy
- On-going advice by letter, telephone or email
- Consultation and advice when meeting contractors
